Leading brand of electrostatic precipitator for commercial kitchen ventilation.

What are the consequences if the electric field of the electrostatic precipitator is installed upside down?

In the modern catering industry, electrostatic precipitators have become key equipment in the kitchen. Many catering places will install suitable electrostatic precipitators based on the kitchen area, the number of stoves and the amount of oil fume emissions. The electrostatic field inside the electrostatic precipitator is the core component for achieving oil fume purification. Since the electrostatic field is a detachable component, in actual operation, the electric field is often installed in the wrong direction. So, what serious consequences will be caused by the reverse installation of the electrostatic precipitator electric field?

What are the consequences if the electric field of the electrostatic precipitator is installed upside down? 1

1. Significant reduction in purification efficiency

During normal operation, the oil fume airflow must flow from the high-pressure area of the electrostatic field to the low-pressure area in a specific order to achieve efficient purification. However, when the electric field is installed in reverse, the airflow in and out direction does not match the layout of the high and low pressure areas of the electrostatic field, causing the electrostatic field to be unable to function normally, ultimately resulting in a significant reduction in oil fume purification efficiency.

2. Abnormal sound and discharge phenomenon

After the electric field is installed in reverse, the adsorption electrode of the electrostatic field will be connected to the DC high voltage power supply. Because the adsorption electrodes are closely arranged, when the oil fume airflow containing moisture and debris passes through, an abnormal "crackling" sound will be generated, accompanied by obvious discharge phenomenon. This abnormality not only affects the kitchen working environment, but also poses certain safety hazards.

3. Power short circuit and equipment damage

Reverse installation of the electric field will cause the high and low voltage areas of the electrostatic field to be swapped. After power is turned on, this wrong layout is very likely to cause a power short circuit, which in turn causes the power module to burn out. In severe cases, it may even damage the entire oil fume purification equipment, causing unnecessary economic losses.

To ensure the normal operation of the electrostatic precipitator, be sure to carefully confirm the wind direction mark of the equipment before installation to clarify the requirements for the inlet and outlet wind directions of the electrostatic field. Correct installation of the electric field can not only ensure the efficient operation of the equipment, but also extend the service life of the equipment and avoid various problems caused by installation errors.
